Donna
In July of 09, I had a breast reduction. I thought I was in heaven, I finally had a smaller bust size that would improve my quallity of life. But, on August 26th, I was called by my Doctor and told that my pathology had come back positive for Bi-Lateral breast cancer (DCIS). After a whirlwind of appointments, on October 19th I had a Bi-lateral mastectomy by Dr. E MacIntosh followed by immediate Diep Flap reconstruction by Dr. E.Buchel. I've had to have a few touch-ups but am happy with the results. I still have some numbness. I didn't require any radiation or chemo. I'm beeing managed with Tamoxifen. I look forward to each day with hope and a little bit of worry but I do my best to stay positive.....
